Aaron Wilson picked up his second Australian Open Men’s Singles trophy in fine style last week, with a 21-14 win over Wayne Turley.
Aaron’s win with his Dreamline XGs marks the 7th Australian Open Men’s Singles title in the last decade to be won with Henselite bowls.
“After what’s been happening in the world with COVID-19 it was really great to be playing again” said Aaron. “It was a special moment.”
“Throughout the week the Dreamline XGs performed brilliantly, handling all conditions in the Gold Coast. They have a great feel in the hand and a nice even line.”
Aaron was one of many Team Henselite finalists over the two week event.
Ray Pearse took home Gold in the Men’s Fours and Sue Brady won the Women’s Over 60s Pairs using Henselite Cruze with partner Maree Gibbs.
Kristina Krstic and Ellen Ryan featured heavily on the finals rink – picking up two Silver medals each in the Women’s Fours and Women’s Pairs.
Cohen Litfin made his first Australian Open senior men’s finals appearance and came home with a Silver medal in the Men’s Pairs with partner Gary Pearson.
