Henselite and Premier League Queensland are excited to announce a new partnership which will see Henselite become the naming rights sponsor of Queensland’s top bowls tournament.

The Queensland Premier league runs from January – March featuring QLDs top 14 clubs vying for the Premier and Reserve Grade title each year and attracts high profile marquee players from around Australia and the world.

It’s new bowls partner, Henselite, has been manufacturing bowls since 1918 and grew to be the number one brand of bowls and accessories worldwide, under the stewardship of the Hensell family. Having recently changed hands and now under the leadership of new owners, the Paterson Family, the Henselite team is eager to build on this history and take it forward in an exciting and dynamic new era.

“We are enthusiastic about entering this partnership with Premier League Queensland,” said CEO, Thomas Paterson “Henselite has a proud, 100-year history of supporting the sport of bowls from the club level to elite bowlers on the world stage and we want to continue to build on this. PLQ showcases the best of Queensland’s and indeed the world’s bowlers which in turn inspires bowlers at all levels to be their best. We look forward to this being a long and innovative relationship.”

PLQ Chairman John Newell said, ” We’re thrilled to partner with Henselite, the biggest name in bowls around the world. The support of Henselite allows us to bring one of Australia’s top tier competitions to more viewers around Australia and the World with world class livestreaming each week and The QLD Premier League Bowls Show. To have an iconic Australian owned manufacturer in Henselite partner up with The Premier League is very exciting as we look to grow our game to the next level. I look forward to a successful partnership that will see The QLD Premier League competition only getting stronger in the future.”
