Career highlights
Receiving an MBE for services to Lawn Bowls. Being a three times Commonwealth Games gold medallist and three times Women’s World Indoor Singles Matchplay champion and one of 10 players representing the Rest of the World against Australia in November 2019. Finally winning British Isles and National Triples with my mum and nan (three generations).
What is your club?
Why do you use this bowl?
Tiger on slower surfaces, Tiger II on mid pace surfaces and XG on quicker greens. I really like the finish of the bowls.
How and when did you start bowling?
I started bowling age 12 as both my parents played.

To win an AO event and BPL.

Which other bowlers do you enjoy playing with or against?
I really enjoy playing with my bestie Amy Gowshall from England and Alex Marshall MBE. Having recently emigrated to Aus, I am loving getting to play on the same team as friends who I have previously competed against internationally.
What would you be doing if you weren’t bowling?
Playing football or hockey.
Who do you most admire?
There are so many. Both my Grandmothers for their strong values and emphasis on family, Katherine Grainger – for her tenacity and achievements as an Olympian and now sports administrator, Billie Jean-King for what she did for women’s sport and finally the thousands of amazing people who go to work to protect or save others.
